We Miss The Time When our Japanese customers DID "Nomoshkar" in typical bengali style
Our Japanese connection is almost as deep as our roots
We started Kho-Cha in 1980. It was a time when foreigners frequented Darjeeling in large numbers. Japanese, in particular, were keen explorers of Tea, taking fancy of the exotic Darjeeling variety, as the experience evoked memories of their traditional Teas. They seemed fascinated by the unique flavour. Over the years, our Teas became popular in Japan. We started receiving orders through the mail order system and our business relationship was strengthened. The days of one-on-one interactions with Japanese tourists in Darjeeling are over, at least for the time bein. We particularly miss the animated way with which they said ‘nomoshkar ‘ greeting us with bright, wide smiles. Having said that, there is a legion of fans in Japan who continue to enjoy Kho-Cha Darjeeling Tea. In that sense, our relationship remains intact.
Thank you!

We are in Darjeeling
We are located at the arterial Laden La Road in Darjeeling. To be a bit more specific – its the road that ascends adjacent to the Petrol Pump ( just beyond the Railway Station ). You will, in all likelihood, reach the Taxi Stand – which happens to be the centerpoint in downtown Darjeeling. Do drop by for a steaming hot cup of Darjeeling!
